FAA Head Placed on Leave for DUI

The US Federal Aviation Administration head is taking a leave of absence after charges for drunk driving were filed. Jerome Randolph Babbitt was spotted by police after driving on the wrong-side of the road in a Virginia suburb. He was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time of the incident. He was charged after being released, and fully cooperated. He requested the leave of absense, said the Department of Transportation. The President did not say if he would ask for him to resign. His BAC level at the time of the arrest was not released. Virginia defines drunk driving as .08 or higher. According to news reports, he is due in court on February 2nd.
As a Alexandria car accident lawyer, I look forward to hearing more about this case, and whether or not he will be asked to resign.
